Retro Active, Inc. provides you with access to and use of the Site subject to your compliance with the Terms. Although Retro Active Vintage has made every effort to display our products and their colors as accurately as possible, the displayed colors of the products will depend upon the monitor of the user, and Retro Active Vintage cannot guarantee that the user’s monitor will accurately portray the actual colors of the products. Products displayed and available for ordering may be out-of-stock or discontinued, and prices are subject to change. Retro Active Vintage is not responsible for typographical errors regarding price or any other matter.

When you select to purchase a product from retroactivevintage.com, we collect your personal information to fulfill your purchase request, as well as register you an account for future purchases and record keeping.

This information includes your full name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, and phone number. Your email address may also be used to register you to receive Retro Active updates if you choose to join our mailing list.  We also collect sensitive financial information, such as your credit card number, solely and specifically for the purpose of completing your transaction. All collected information is for that specific purpose and will be kept fully confidential and secure.

Retroactivevintage.com does not share the personal information of its users with any third parties for their promotional purposes.

We accept all major credit cards. Please note, at the moment we can only ship within the United States. We will be working to change that.

Gift Certificates and Coupon Codes

You can purchase gift certificates in-store or by calling 504-864-8154. At this time we are not able to accept gift certificates through the website. To redeem a gift certificate please call 504-864-8154 and place a phone order.

FAQS

*I don’t see anything in my size, when will more clothing come in?
At Retro Active Vintage we work to have clothing in a full range of sizes. We might not have anything at the moment, but we recommend checking back with us often! New things come in all the time, and we work to get them on the website as quickly as possible. Also there’s a possibility that we have something in-store that hasn’t made it onto the website yet. You are welcome to give us a ring and we will be happy to assist you.

*How do I make sure my vintage item will fit me?
Please check our size charts to see how we size our clothing. Being aware of your measurements and checking them against the details on each listing is the best way to ensure proper fit. Please be aware that the measurements listed are for the garments themselves, so you will need to be smaller to fit them. Check our out Size Chart page for details on measuring yourself. What is comfortable in terms of ease is slightly different for everybody, so we also recommend measuring a favorite garment, and matching those measurements.

*Can I get a custom item made in a vintage style?
Yes. Our vintage garments are one-of-a-kind. However we do make custom vintage inspired clothing as well. At this time, we can only accept custom order from those in the New Orleans area, as we must be able to meet with you in person to fit the garments. Also, at this time we can only custom make women’s clothing. However, we do some men’s repairs and alterations.

*How do I care for my vintage clothing?
While some vintage garments can be hand washed, given the age and delicate nature of vintage clothing we recommend using a trusted dry cleaner in your area.

*Can I return an item if it does not fit?
All sales made in store are final. For online sales we accept store credit within 10 days of receipt of order and exchanges with a 10% restocking fee. No returns. All sales are final on items purchased on sale or clearance. Please contact us within 10 Days of your receipt of item if you have a concern about your order. Store credit/exchanges will be handled on a case by case basis. Remember, we only accept store credit or exchange with a 10% restock fee (no exceptions). Items must be returned unworn, unaltered, and in the same condition it was sent. If you would like to address a concern with an order you have received, please contact greetings@retroactivevintage.com. All return shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer. We are not responsible for lost/stolen/missing parcels you ship back to us. Please insure and get tracking and delivery confirmation for all returns. Buyer also responsible for any other additional fees that may incur outside of Retro Active Vintage (ie Paypal/credit card fees).

Shipping & Returns

Orders are processed and shipped through our office in New Orleans, Louisiana, Monday-Friday, excluding national holidays, Lundi Gras, and Mardi Gras Day. Orders must be placed before 10am CST to be processed the same day. Orders placed after this time will be processed the following business day. While most orders are processed and shipped within 1 business day, occasionally we are backed up and need a little extra time. All orders will be shipped within 1 to 3 business days. All packages are shipped with tracking information.

DOMESTIC ORDERS:
Domestic economy shipping is free for retail orders of $50 or more. Transit time is typically 1-10 business days. Retro Active Vintage reserves the right to ship economy packages via its carrier of choice. When calculating your delivery date, exclude the day the order was placed (if after 10am CST), weekends, and holidays; account for business days only, please. The same applies to ground and express deliveries. If you have specific delivery needs such as overnight with Saturday delivery, there is an additional charge for that service and special arrangements will need to be made. Please call us at 504-864-8154 for all special shipping requests.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
At this time we do not ship internationally. As soon as we can, this will be changing.

IN STORE PICK UP:
You are welcome to pick up your order in the store. You will be contacted when your order is ready for pick up. Please bring photo ID and emailed receipt when stopping by to collect your purchase. All pick up orders are charged Louisiana sales tax of 9% and must be collected within 30 days.

RETURNS:
All sales made in store are final. For online sales we accept store credit within 10 days of receipt of order and exchanges with a 10% restocking fee. No returns. All sales are final on items purchased on sale or clearance. Please contact us within 10 Days of your receipt of item if you have a concern about your order. The following items are not eligible for return:
*Items purchased from the Retro Active Vintage brick and mortar location
*Special orders or custom made items
*Items not returned in the condition they were received.
*All items on SALE/CLEARANCE and purchased during a SALE promotion are considered FINAL SALE and cannot be returned for store credit, refund, or exchange. All LINGERIE and SWIMWEAR, are FINAL SALE.
Returns made within the 10 business day window are eligible for refund, immediate exchange, or store credit. Items returned outside the 10 business day window are subject to a 10% restocking fee. Returns will not be accepted for any reason after 30 days.

Retro Active Vintage does not offer return shipping services at this time. Please ship your return with the carrier of your choice and ensure that it is insured and trackable. Retro Active Vintage is not responsible for returns lost or damaged during shipment.

If you are exchanging an item, and a balance is owed, you will be contacted for payment details upon receipt of your return. If we owe you a balance post exchange, it will be credited the same way it was initially paid.

Shipping charges are non-refundable unless we ship an item in error.

If an entire order is returned for a refund that initially received free shipping, a $13 shipping charge will be deducted from the refund total.

All items must be returned in the same condition as received; unworn, unaltered, unlaundered.

DAMAGES:
We do our very best to make sure all of our vintage is in excellent vintage condition, and that any damages are disclosed and the item is priced accordingly. If we have missed major damage on the item you receive please contact us immediately and we will assist you with a return and refund. Please note that vintage is almost never 100% perfect.
